Parent Meeting #7

Washington, DC 8th Grade Field Trip (April 2019)

--Fundraising Meeting #7: Wednesday, October, 9th, 2018

Hello and thank you for attending! Thank you Michelle and Erik for taking over this meeting.

Would anyone like to take meeting notes to distribute to the group?

Fudge: Tanya Pitman has set up a yummy fudge fundraiser. She will share the details this evening.

Calendar Raffle: There were no new donations for the fall calendar so we will not be doing one. We do have $250 cash and some Subway and United Martial Arts certificates that we will probably let the 2020 group use (the 2018 group let us have their unneeded donations). If we could collect some more cash we can get a great prize for a single raffle or just give the cash away. Another $250 to $750 would be a great raffle for Christmas. As mentioned Susan’s vet gave $250 (Suncook River) so maybe other local vets will match the donation. Otherwise we have McBrides, Eames, Century 21, the storage place, and probably other independent businesses I forgot (not Tim’s, they already donated).

Fall and Winter Dance: Stephanie Wills and Lori Davis have agreed to lead on this event. Thank you! Sign up is ongoing for the October dance and the December dance will be up in November. They have a lot of great plans for the October 19th dance.

Can Drive: Suggestions for getting more cans?

Haunted Walk: Thank you to the Carignan families for volunteering to lead this event! The first meeting had a huge turnout-thank you! Some groups set up another time to meet and finish the planning and Rebecca is going to set up another meeting for everyone to take a look at the actual rooms and plan. This is going to be a great evening! Please get in touch with Rebecca with any questions.

Harley Davidson Concord BBQ: Thanks to Tammy and Mike Fournier for handling this event. We didn’t do as well as we hoped but we still made money for the students who helped out. The t-shirts are still available and they are very cool looking! $15/each or 2/$25 We have sized small to XXL. Thanks to John and Rebecca Carignan for making these awesome shirts for our group!

Mum: The mum sale was a great success!

Note: If we are using ECS for an event please fill out a building request form (available in the office) as soon as a date is chosen.

Other ideas:

  • Popcorn?

  • Water at ECS sporting events?

  • Jackets (I’ll buy 2 jackets as I could use one for field trips)
